So I am a new fan of poker after having watched it countless times on ESPN as they advertise the 2009 WSOP. I am a starter and found a great site with tips for the noob. The site itself is very easy to navigate through but has taught me how to play AA and KK right and how to avoid the bad beats. Articles are posted everyday so content is fresh and most of the time new. Well for me it’s great because I’m starting out in the world of poker online. Signing up to sites like Pokerstars. Visit the site www.QubeBlog.com to learn how to play poker, watch videos, talk about strategy, and much more

We all know how well wordpress as a blog platform works. I actually love using wordpress and in my opinion I think it’s the best CMS (Content Management System) compared to the others for the ease of use and versatility. There are so many wordpress plug ins it is insane.

I do want to go ahead and recommend one product, that product is Artisteer. It is a great tool to use just because it gives you great “one of a kind” templates for wordpress. You won’t find these themes anywhere else besides the Artisteer program itself. It also allows you the power to customize the themes for your own usage. Basically this program here is a wordpress site builder.

The program gives you free upgrades for a year as well as design suggestions and features it also allows you to export these themes as:

  • XHTML+CSS
  • WordPress Theme
  • Joomla 1.5 Template
  • Drupal 5/6 Theme
  • DotNetNuke 4.9+ Skin
  • ASP.NET Application
  • CodeCharge Studio

You are also provided with 200 + stock photos you can use on your site. It’ll be great for those corporate/business professional themes you want to create.

Yes so i started this blog almost two months ago..we’re getting down to it where i’m almost at 100 hits….you may think to your self 100 hits in two months what a joke…..yeah. i know but i don’t promote this blog at all…it just sits and cruises along for the ride. Give me the hundred and I’ll give you guys a cookie! ha

So I was looking to buy books for next semesters classes for my little sister. I goto Campusbooks.org it’s like the best site ever. Any ways it searches through half.com, ebay, abebooks, and other popular websites. I ran into a cheap book about $35 cheaper. I go and buy the book for $98. One thing that’s weird here is because I ordered some books from them before and I got them on time and never complained. This time I go out order it and I ask where my book is they provide me with a tracking number shipped by a “unknown” company. When you click on the company url it states that they no longer deal with Textbooksnow.com I think to myself thats fairly odd. So its been three weeks I email them and still no answer they took my $98 and ran with it.. Don’t order from this site

Positive thinking is my philosophy and it has helped me a lot throughout life. You always want to think positive? Why? Well because thinking negatively just brings negative things up. You must do and what you think. So if you think positive you’re going to be doing positive things. If you’re wanting to start a venture think positively about it and you might surprise yourself with what actions you take. Here are some things you can say to yourself to think positively and overall boost your own self confidence

  • I am confident and efficient as I allow the Power within me to motivate and activate my consciousness
  • My actions are the logical outgrowth of this awareness. Success meets all my endeavors for I am adequate to deal with every area of my life
  • I am continually receptive to new ways and methods for my greatest goods
  • As I become more aware of my power to see, I am also more aware of my will to do
  • I can do it
  • I am a highly intelligent person with great traits

This excerpt is taken from dr. Robert Anthony’s book the “Ultimate Guide to Total Self Confidence” it is a good book if you have any trouble in that department or just need a refresher in life. It makes you look at things in a different way, maybe your life sucks right now go read the book. I’ll add more in a later post as I am filled up with work…

Anyways So i was browsing the web and ran into this video of the crazy ol rob dyrdek…
Rob Dyrdek is up to his ridiculous yet extremely entertaining nonsense again and this time he builds a mini go-kart version of Ken Block’s Suburu rally car. They put together this interesting and pretty darn cool video or driving stunts and wild behavior. Eveything that Dyrdek touches seems to turn to hilarious gold, so why wouldn’t this work. Check it out and you will agree.

anyways go sign up for full tilt and buy some banner stands to all a good day

Also I have listed another site i’ve been working on very hard www.qubeshop.com

man it has only been about two months since I’ve graduated college and with all my friends back home heading back for the fall semester…….I’ve been missing the good ol college days.

  • The “late night into morning” days where you party till dawn and pass out at 8AM.
  • Waking up to a head pounding headache, and wanting to grab some breakfast with some friends to talk about the night before.
  • Waking up in a random person’s house getting up and saying WTF happened

  • Basically the movie the Hangover puts it best. Now a days it’s waking up at 8AM getting to work on time working a 9-5 job. Getting home and being to tired to go work out or hang out with friends. Falling asleep at 10PM on a Friday or Saturday night. It’s like WHOA am I getting that old that I’m going to sleep so early? No it’s because you’re in the real world working to survive and put food on the table…….
please go buy some banner stands to make me happy and if your in COLLEGE ENJOY IT WHILE IT LASTS!!

  • Do you need ideas for promoting? As a business owner I’ve gone through a great deal of finding ways to get exposure to my business. It’s a tough economy but as a business you should advertise even if it’s a little bit. Advertising is one of the key ingredients to a successful business. Many large corporations spend millions coming up with ad campaigns.

As a small business you want to do the same thing that these large corporations are doing as well. However, I’m sure you don’t want to be spending millions of dollars on advertising. Maybe you don’t have a budget that big but you need to at least do some advertising.

A cheap way to get exposure is using banner stands. These are portable and can get heads turning quickly. You can use them indoors or outdoors. You have a wide variety of ways to use banner stands as well as being cheap. It’s both versatile and affordable. I buy my own banner stands from retractablebannerstands.us You can find a lot of sellers but I’ve determined that this place is the cheapest. The place I get my banner stands from even installs them for me when I send them an image to print. Easy and cheap is the way to go.

With tough times, giving yourself some exposure is always good. If your competitors aren’t doing it than you should do it.

I myself, believe that I have a business mindset. I have always had a business mindset, I think it’s a gift that makes me unique. Of course you sit there and say, “Oh I have a business mindset as well.” But to be successful in business one must experience the ups and downs of a business. Creating a start up and gaining a great reputation from it takes hard work. It is not easy starting a business, those who have a business mindset must be able to apply their concepts in order to have a business mindset.

Once you start your business is when your business mindset comes in. How does one deal with certain issues and scenarios is where this business mindset truly is. Everyone at some point wants to start a T-shirt business…eventually making it a clothing line. I know I was one of those people. I had truly had my eyes on it because well it was so easy to do. Buy some T shirts, Screen Print them, Sell them. Sounds easy right? Wrong.

I had assembled a team with two friends. One was an artist by heart, who loved to draw and had a creative mind. The other was a web designer who constantly updated his myspace layout every two weeks or so. Me? I was the business man, I was the capital. I was the man who would take control and approve everything that was going on. Mind you these two guys are also my friends. I had done research, finding ways to cut costs and produce the cheapest high quality t shirt I could come up with. Thought about the things that could go wrong and solutions. Well solutions to the material/ shirt process….however I missed the fact that I was working with my friends that had no capital in the business. They didn’t care if it succeeded, it was a hobby. Maybe my business mindset got in the middle of it. But it was a Fail, they had no desire no determination to achieve the product that I wanted.

Anyways, one of the friends to this day wants to start up another T shirt company and consults with me , the one with the “business” mindset. I find it interesting that you know somethings people overlook when it’s just common sense to look at it. To this day, I am still a consultant for my friend. Failures in the past, but with so much knowledge gain. Hopefully it works out for my friend I don’t know as there is so much competition with this industry of silk screening tees. Like I stated earlier, you can have a business mindset but till you start one that’s when you know if you have what it takes to succeed. Look at great entrepreneurs like Bill Gates, a college drop out, and play boy Richard Branson. They have that mindset to distinguish their company and therefore give them their own competitive advantage
